Description:
This mutant was generated by insertional mutagenesis with the ARG7 gene in strain MUT-425, and selected by screening for alterations in the ratio of photosynthetic oxygen production to respiratory oxygen consumption. This mutant was found to have a slightly higher respiration rate and a significantly lower photosynthesis rate than the wild type.
