Insect Circular RNA (circRNA) Sequencing Service
Circular RNA (circRNA) is a special type of non-coding RNA that is not affected by RNA exonucleases, resulting in more stable expression and reduced degradation. Research has shown that circRNA plays a crucial regulatory role in biological growth and development, as well as in the organism's defense against external environmental factors. Due to the closed circular structure of circRNA, it is possible to specifically enrich circRNA molecules by removing rRNA and linear RNA molecules from total RNA, followed by sequencing. This allows for more targeted analysis of specific circRNA profiles, circRNA splicing patterns, intergroup differences, and functional aspects within the sample being tested.
Lifeasible has extensive experience in insect transcription regulation services. CircRNA sequencing is increasingly becoming a popular direction in insect research due to its unique functions in gene regulation, developmental processes, and environmental adaptation. We utilize advanced sequencing platforms and a powerful bioinformatics analysis team to provide high-quality, reliable circRNA-seq services, thereby advancing research progress in the field of insect studies.
Technical Features
- Sequencing data for both circRNA and mRNA can be obtained simultaneously.
- While identifying known circRNA, new circRNA can also be predicted.
- With a large amount of information, co-expression analysis of mRNA and circRNA can be performed.
What Can We Offer?
| Information analysis |
- Our circRNA sequencing project involves a standard analysis process that mainly includes quality control, alignment, splicing, identification, screening, quantification, differential analysis, enrichment analysis, miRNA binding site analysis, tissue specificity analysis, coding potential prediction, and other steps. The core of this analysis is that circRNA can inhibit miRNA function by binding to miRNA. Therefore, performing miRNA binding site analysis on identified circRNA can further elucidate the functional role of circRNA.

| Association analysis |
- circRNA-miRNA association analysis. circRNAs inhibit miRNA function by binding to miRNAs. We use bioinformatics software to analyze and predict the target relationships between circRNAs and miRNAs.
- circRNA, miRNA, and mRNA association analysis. circRNA possesses miRNA binding sites, and inhibiting miRNA regulation of target genes can indirectly regulate gene expression. Based on the ceRNA theory, we screened circRNA-target gene pairs with identical miRNA binding sites. We constructed a circRNA-miRNA-mRNA regulatory relationship with circRNA as the decoy, miRNA as the core, and mRNA as the target, thereby establishing a ceRNA regulatory network.

Application Areas
- Insect development and growth regulation. circRNA expression undergoes significant dynamic changes during embryonic development and metamorphosis. Differential expression analysis can reveal the regulatory mechanisms at key developmental stages.
- Environmental adaptation and stress response. Studying changes in circRNA expression can help us understand how insects adapt to harsh environments or resist external stressors.
- Insect-pathogen interaction studies. When insects act as vectors for pathogens, circRNAs may be involved in host-pathogen interactions, and circRNAs can be used to study insect immune response mechanisms.
In summary, circRNA sequencing of insect samples is suitable for more in-depth studies of various stages, parts, or aspects of their growth and development.
