MeDIP Sequencing Service
MeDIP sequencing (Methylated DNA immunoprecipitation sequencing) is a high-throughput epigenetics technology used to detect DNA methylation patterns across entire genomes. Lifeasible specializes in the insect research field, offering accurate and reliable MeDIP sequencing services designed to assist researchers in conducting in-depth methylation studies at the genomic scale across various insect species.
Technical Advantages of MeDIP Sequencing
- Studies mRNA methylation sites across the entire transcriptome.
- Leverages the sensitivity of antibodies through antibody enrichment methods.
- The analytical approach is similar to ChIP-seq, with relatively mature data analysis.
What Can We Offer?
We specialize in insect research subjects and offer the following comprehensive MeDIP-seq services.
DNA sample quality control and preprocessing
MeDIP experiments and sequencing library preparation
High-throughput sequencing
Standardized bioinformatics analysis
- Whole-genome methylation region detection.
- Differentially methylated region (DMR) analysis.
- Association with functional genomic elements.
- Integrated analysis with transcriptomic data to reveal methylation-gene expression relationships.
- Customized analysis (combining transcriptomic, phenotypic, or other omics data).
Application Areas of MeDIP Sequencing
- Uncovering epigenetic regulatory mechanisms. MeDIP sequencing aids in studying the molecular basis of these regulatory mechanisms, including insect development, behavior, and physiological responses.
- Investigating environmental adaptability and phenotypic plasticity. Insects exhibit significant phenotypic variations across different environments, often linked to DNA methylation. MeDIP sequencing reveals the underlying epigenetic basis.
- Exploring insect evolution and phylogenetics. Differences in methylation patterns among insect species reflect their evolutionary relationships and adaptive strategies. MeDIP sequencing facilitates the construction of more precise phylogenetic trees.
Sample Requirements
MeDIP-Seq Sample Requirements (Genomic DNA)
- Sample purity. OD 260/280 values should be between 1.8 and 2.0, and RNA should be completely removed.
- Sample concentration. The minimum concentration should be no less than 50 ng/µl.
- Sample volume. Each sample should have a minimum of 10 µg.
- Sample transportation. DNA should be shipped at low temperatures (-20°C).
