White or off-white powder, hygroscopic, easily soluble in water.
Introduction
It is a low molecular weight heparin calcium salt obtained by the nitrous acid degradation of heparin from porcine intestinal mucosa, and then selectively removing most substances with a molecular weight less than 2000 Daltons by sizing.
Indications
In surgery, it is used for the prevention of venous thromboembolic disease in cases of moderate or high risk of venous thrombosis, treatment of the formed deep vein thrombosis, in hemodialysis, and prevention of the clot formation in the extracorporeal circulation.
