Product Description
Uridine 5′-monophosphate, a pyrimidine mononucleotide, is created when orotidine 5′-monophosphate is decarboxylated. Kinases then convert UMP to UTP (uridine 5′-triphosphate). Uridine 5′-monophosphate disodium salt has been used to study the effect of pyrimidine synthesis inhibitor, 5-azacytidine, on cholesterol and lipid metabolism.
