Curcumin is a yellow pigment extracted from the rhizomes of plants such as Curcuma longa (turmeric), belonging to the ginger family. It is an acidic polyphenolic compound with a main chain composed of unsaturated aliphatic and aromatic groups.
The nano-active substance developed based on the nano-delivery system (NDS), with a particle size under 30nm, enables curcumin to be stably encapsulated within the nano-carrier. This significantly enhances absorption efficiency and bioavailability, effectively overcoming the original drawbacks while retaining its advantages, making it more convenient and widely applicable.
