Quality assurance

Lifeasible is committed to providing high-titer, high-quality AAV, and in addition to routine qPCR testing for AAV titers, we also utilize other quality assurance methods to ensure the quality of AAV. These include viral capsid protein purity testing, viral genome size and purity testing, and viral biological activity testing.

  • Viral coat protein purity assay. In addition to the titer test, we also tested the purity of AAV capsid protein by SDS-PAGE. This assay indicates that the purity of AAV capsid protein should have good infectious activity.
  • Viral genome size and purity detection. Extract the AAV viral genome and detect the genome size and purity by agarose gel electrophoresis to discriminate the size of the inserted target fragment and the presence or absence of impurities to ensure the quality of AAV. This test indicates that the size of the packaged AAV insert fragment is correct and free of impurities.
  • Viral biological activity test. We infected 293T cells with different serotypes of AAV to observe the fluorescence signal. We can also perform an intraviral biological activity assay.
