Product Name
Plant-Derived Recombinant Human α1-Antitrypsin
Product Introduction
In the human body, antitrypsin (AAT) is a secretory protein produced by the liver that protects tissues and organs from damage by inhibiting the activity of proteases, particularly neutrophil elastase. In the absence of AAT, neutrophil elastase excessively hydrolyzes elastin in the alveolar walls, leading to respiratory complications such as emphysema and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). AAT deficiency can also cause liver cell damage, resulting in cirrhosis. This product is extracted from genetically modified rice seeds, contains 384 amino acids, and has a molecular weight of 46.7 kDa.
Product Advantages
It is free of animal-derived components and poses no risk of viral infection, offering superior batch-to-batch stability.
