Applications
In silkworm industry, it is used to shorten the silkworm instar, and promote spinning and cocooning. In the breeding industry, it is widely used in the breeding of prawn, crab and Chinese Polyphaga; In cosmetics, hydroxyecdysone is also used as a special additive. Hydroxyecdysone can affect the whole development stage of insect from hatching larva to adult, so it can control or kill agricultural pests. It has been developed and applied as a third-generation pesticide. Hydroxyecdysone also has some effects on the physiological process of crops and has a good prospect in the development and application of crop yield additives. Application in human body: it can regulate blood sugar and blood fat, promote collagen synthesis, resist arrhythmia, resist fatigue, regulate blood sugar, promote cell growth, and stimulate dermal cell division.
