Uses in Agriculture
T. viride is the biofungicide agent on soil micro-environment, disease management & root zone growth. It has an extreme feature of rapid reproduction, effective protection, and long term antibacterial.
Trichoderma viride is recognized as biopesticides, biofertilizers, root growth stimulants, and enhancers of plant resistance.
Application Method: foliar spray, seed soaking, soil mixing, irrigation, drip irrigation or root drench.
Trichoderma viride is suitable for most of the economic crops, like beans, rice, maize, fruits, vegetables, and ornamental plants.
Application
1.Soil Micro-Environment Improvement
Good soil micro-environment is vital to the growth of crops. It determines the strong root growth, high root vigor, and roots' nutrients absorption. T. viride soil application can help balance the flora in soil and inhibit pathogens, create a healthy soil environment for crops' roots. A balanced environment can also help improve soil aggregate structure to maintain flabbiness, fertility, and humidity.
2.Soil-Borne Diseases Control
Soil-borne diseases are caused by Fusarium oxysporum, Pythium spp, Verticillium alboatum. Through nutrition competition and parasitism, Trichoderma viride can continuously and effectively inhibit harmful flora, prevent the spread of pathogens in plants from the source, and ensure the healthy growth of plants
3.Extended Root length
After creating a healthy soil micro-environment, controlling the soil-borne diseases, T. viride can also secrete some substances to promote root extending, rich lateral roots.
4.Exercising Crops' Resistance
As a new microbe colonized in soil, crops' roots area, Crops' self-immune system will try to defend, thus exercising the crops' resistance.
Appearance
Green Powder
Mode of Action
1. Produce secondary metabolites, inhibit the growth, reproduction, and infection of pathogenic microorganisms.
2. Occupy the dominant niche, inhibit and eliminate pathogenic microorganisms through rapid growth and reproduction.
3. Degradation of the cell wall of pathogens by parasitic action and secreting trichoderma viride toxins.
4. Inducing crops to enhance their disease resistance.
Active Ingredients
2×10^9 CFU/G
Features
T. viride is widely distributed in nature, often saprophytic on wood, seeds, and plant residues. Trichoderma viride can produce a variety of biologically active enzyme systems, It is one of the highest cellulase-producing strain. The produced cellulase has a degrading effect on crops, and the effect is very good. It plays an important role in the prevention and treatment of crops’ disease resistance.

Trichoderma Viride's Life Cycle: The colony of Trichoderma grows rapidly, and it is in the shape of irregular cotton floc or dense clusters, and its surface is mostly green.
The suitable growth temperature is 20-28°C. It still grows well at 6°C or 32°C. It is a mesophilic fungus that can grow at 37° C but cannot grow at 48°C. The growth requirements of Trichoderma High humidity, the relative humidity of its vegetative growth requires more than 92%, and the formation of spores requires 93% -95%. Therefore, the vitality of Trichoderma in moist soil is strong.
Dosage
Pre-blend T. viride into the soil, mix at the time of planting or dip seedlings before planting. It can be applied by soil application, seed treatment, dipping seedlings.
Soil Application: 7.5-10 kg/Ha, turn the soil after watering, keep the soil moist 2-5 days.
Seed treatment: Standard wet treatment with 5g~10g T. viride per kg of seeds.
Seedling Application: Use a solution of 5~10g/L to dip seedlings before planting. There are no harmful side effects caused by overdosage.
Compared with chemical pesticides, Trichoderma viride has the features of low toxicity, strong selectivity, no drug resistance, low residue, and high activity. It fits the trend of pesticide development and meets the requirements of sustainable development of future agriculture.
