This is a good kit to start out with if you are curious about algae experiments, it is designed to give you everything you need for a science project either at home or in a classroom. This kit is good for two groups (n=4); one to be used as the experimental group and one to be used as the control group. Use this kit to explore many variables responsible for the growth (or death) of algae. Explore our lessons and experiments for inspiration for your experimentation, or create an experiment of your own!

• 50 mL concentrated algae (Nannochloropsis)
• 4x Nutrients to make 500ml (1/2 liter) of media
• Should be added to a 500ml bottle of drinking water (water not included in the kit)

• Information about the strain of algae
• Culture care lessons
• Illustrated growing protocol
• Lifecycle background of batch-culture cycles

Equipment:
• 8x standing culture flasks.
• Pipetter, graduated with 3 mL capacity.
• Secchi Stick.
