Description
NBD C6-ceramide can be used to study the mechanism of sphingolipid transport and metabolism. It is also used as a selective stain for the Golgi apparatus in living and fixed cells. Environmentally sensitive NBD dyes are weakly fluorescent in water but strongly fluorescent in aprotic solvents and other nonpolar environments with excitation/emission maxima around 466/536 nm.

Introduction
NBD C6-Ceramide is a selective stain for the Golgi apparatus in live and fixed cells and widely used to study sphingolipid transport and metabolism mechanisms.
