Description

Apricot kernel is a great source of oil, mainly composed of fatty acids, especially unsaturated fatty acids. This oil also presents high concentrations of triterpenoids, carotenoids, vitamin E active compounds, phytosterols, and polyphenols. Apricot kernels are also a source of proteins, peptides, and essential oil.

Application

Used as food additives or protein fortifiers, mixed with corn protein, made with multi-vegetable protein food, used to produce amaretto biscuits, finger biscuits, jams, biodiesel production, skin and hair-care products.
