HiCrome Candida Differential Agar Base, Modified is recommended for the rapid isolation and identification of Candida species from mixed cultures.

Cream to yellow homogeneous free flowing powder
Characteristic
Cultural characteristics observed with added HiCrome Candida Selective Supplement (FD192), after an incubation at 30 centigrade for 40-48 hours.
Reaction of 4.20% w/v aqueous solution at 25 centigrade. pH : 7.2±0.2.
Storage
Store dehydrated powder and prepared medium at 2-8 centigrade. Use before expiry period on the label.
Instructions
Suspend 21.02 grams in 500 ml distilled water. Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely. DO NOT AUTOCLAVE. Cool to 50 centigrade and aseptically add rehydrated contents of 1 vial of Candida Selective Supplement. Mix well and pour into sterile Petri plates.
