Jensen Seedling Agar is used for germinating seeds of leguminous plants while studying the nodulating ability of Rhizobium isolates.

Characteristic
Cultural characteristics observed after an incubation at 30 centigrade for 7 days.
Reaction of 1.67% w/v aqueous solution at 25 centigrade. pH : 7.0±0.2.
Storage
Store below 30 centigrade in tightly closed container and prepared medium at 2-8 centigrade. Use before expiry period on the label
Instructions
Suspend 16.7 grams in 1000 ml distilled water. Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121 centigrade) for 15 minutes. Mix well and dispense as desired.
