Liver Meat Agar, Modified is used for cultivation of fastidious anaerobic microorganisms.
Form
Light yellow to light brown homogeneous free flowing powder
Characteristic
Cultural characteristics observed under anaerobic condition, after an incubation at 35-37 centigrade for 18-48 hours.
Reaction of 3.25% w/v aqueous solution at 25 centigrade. pH : 7.6±0.2.
Storage
Store below 30 centigrade in tightly closed container and the prepared medium at 2-8 centigrade.
Instructions
Suspend 32.5 grams in 1000 ml distilled water. Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize by autoclavingat 15lbs pressure (121 centigrade) for 15 minutes.
