Phytopathogenic Microbe Pst agar base is semi-selective medium for the detection of Pseudomonas syringae pv.tomato on seeds of tomato.

Light yellow coloured, homogeneous, free flowing powder
Characteristic
Cultural characteristics observed after an incubation at 30-32 centigrade for 5-6 days with added CCTP supplement (PHS010) .
Reaction of 3.72% w/v aqueous solution is pH 7.5.
Storage
Store below 30 centigrade and the prepared medium at 2 - 8 centigrade.
Instructions
Suspend 37.2 grams in 960 ml distilled water. Add 30 ml of 50% glycerol. Dissolve 1.5 g boric acid in 10 ml distilled water. Sterilize the solutions separately by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure(121 centigrade) for 15 minutes. Cool to 45-50 centigrade and aseptically add the rehydrated contents of one vial of CCTP supplement Mix well and pour into Petri plate.
