Product Overview
Phytopathogenic Microbe Xcv agar base is semi-selective medium for the detection of Xanthomonas campestris pv. vesicatoria and Xanthomonas vesicatoria on seeds of pepper and tomato.

Cream to yellow coloured, homogeneous, free flowing powder
Characteristic
Cultural characteristics observed with added CCFT Supplement (PHS017), after an incubation at 25-30 centigrade for 3-7 days.

Storage
Store below 30 centigrade and the prepared medium at 2 - 8 centigrade.
Instructions
Suspend 35.35 grams in 990 ml distilled water containing 10 ml of Tween 80. Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121 centigrade) for 15 minutes. Cool to 45-50 centigrade and aseptically add the rehydrated contents of one vial of CCFT Supplement. Mix well and pour into sterile Petri plates.
