Pseudomonas Agar Base with added supplement is recommended for selective isolation of Pseudomonas species.
Form
Light yellow coloured, may have slightly greenish tinge, homogeneous, free flowing powder
Characteristic
Cultural characteristics observed after an incubation at 35-37 centigrade for 24-48 hours.
Reaction of 4.84% w/v aqueous solution is pH 7.1 ± 0.2 at 25 centigrade.
Storage
Dry Medium - Below 30 centigrade, Prepared Medium 2 - 8 centigrade.
Instructions
Suspend 24.2 grams in 500 ml distilled water containing 5 ml glycerol. Heat to boiling to dissolve completely. Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121 centigrade) for 15 minutes. Cool to 50 centigrade and aseptically add sterile rehydrated contents of either Cetrinix supplement or CFC Supplement as desired. Mix well and pour into sterile plates.
