Reinforced Clostridial Agar, granulated is used for the cultivation and enumeration of Clostridia and other anaerobes.

Cream to yellow coloured granular medium
Characteristic
Cultural characteristics observed in an anaerobic atmosphere after an incubation at 35 - 37 centigrade for 40 - 48 hours.
Reaction of 5.1% w/v aqueous solution at 25 centigrade. pH : 6.8±0.2.
Storage
Store below 30 centigrade in tightly closed container and the prepared medium at 2 - 8 centigrade.
Instructions
Suspend 51.00 grams in 1000 ml distilled water. Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121 centigrade) for 15 minutes. Cool to 45-50 centigrade. Mix well and pour into sterile Petri plates or dispense as desired.
