Soil Extract Agar is used for isolation of soil microorganisms.

Characteristic
Cultural characteristics observed after an incubation at 30 centigrade for upto 4 days.
Reaction of 3.43% w/v aqueous solution at 25 centigrade. pH : 6.8±0.2.
Storage
Store below 30 centigrade in tightly closed container and the prepared medium at 2 - 8 centigrade.
Instructions
Suspend 34.25 grams in 1000 ml distilled water. Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely and sterilize by autoclavingat 15 lbs pressure (121 centigrade) for 15 minutes. Mix well and pour into sterile Petri plates.
