Scientific Background
T-2 toxin is a sesquiterpene mycotoxins produced by a variety of Fusarium spp. such as Fusarium oxysporum, Fusarium oxysporum, Fusarium oxysporum, etc., which belongs to Class A. Trichothecenes (TS). Due to the susceptibility of Fusarium to field crops and cereals during storage and processing, such as wheat, maize, oats and other cereals and their products, T-2 toxins released by the bacteria are widespread in nature and can directly or indirectly contaminate botanical and animal-derived foods through the enrichment of organisms and food chains, causing serious harm to livestock and human health.
