Water Quality Index Analysis

Water Quality Index Analysis

Water is an important material basis in the natural, social and economic complex system, and it is both an economic and environmental resource. When human beings use the economic characteristics of water resources for production and life, it will have a great impact on water resources with environmental characteristics and make changes to the quality of water resources.

Water Quality Index Analysis

Water quality standards are the water quality parameters required by the object of water quality that should reach the indicators and limit values. How to evaluate the quality of water resources, provide useful information for production and life, to take appropriate water pollution control measures, is a focus of research in the field of environmental science.

Lifeasible provides water quality index analysis services for researchers in water quality analysis and related aspects. We provide comprehensive water quality evaluation reports from many aspects of water samples such as nitrate and phosphate, bromide and bromate, sulfide, 13 phenolic compounds, and mineralization. We have the professional equipment and experienced team to provide you with fair, credible, and reproducible test results.

General detectable indicators and testing methods

Indicators Methods
Nitrate and phosphate Continuous flow analysis and Ammonium molybdate spectrophotometry
  • Pre-test commissioning
  • Calibration (preparation of calibration series, standard curve plotting)
  • Specimen determination
  • Blank experiment
  • Calculation of results
Bromide and bromate Ion chromatography
  • Water sample pretreatment
  • Standard curve plotting
  • Column filtration
  • Injection detection (record retention time, peak height, or peak area)
Sulfides p-aminodimethyl aniline spectrophotometry, iodometric method, gas-phase molecular absorption spectrometry, indirect atomic absorption, ion-selective electrode method. Method designation is not accepted.
Phenolic compounds There are 13 phenolic compounds that can be tested, including phenol, m-cresol, 2,4-dimethylphenol, 2-chlorophenol, 4-chlorophenol, 2,4-dichlorophenol, 2,4,6-trichlorophenol, p-chloro-m-cresol, pentachlorophenol, 2-nitrophenol, 4-nitrophenol, 2,4-dinitrophenol and 2-methyl-4,6-dinitrophenol.
You can specify the determination by methylene chloride liquid-liquid extraction with gas chromatography hydrogen flame detector method or derivatization with pentafluorobenzyl bromide and purification by silica gel chromatography followed by gas chromatography electron capture detector method.
Degree of mineralization Gravimetric method, conductivity method, anion, and cation summation method, ion exchange method, specific gravimetric method. Method designation is not accepted.

*Please stay tuned as we are constantly updating the list of indicators available for testing.
