Ursolic acid (UA) is a hydroxyl pentacyclic triterpenoic acid (HPTA), which exhibits anti-bacterial, anti-cancer, anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory effects. It can also promote neuroregeneration after peripheral nerve injury. UA can enhance sleep duration by activating the GABAergic neurotransmitter system.
