Sulfur Dioxide Rapid Detection Kit

Sulfur Dioxide Rapid Detection Kit

Cat#
FSD-153
Product Name
Sulfur Dioxide Rapid Detection Kit
Product Overview
Sulfur dioxide and sulfite are common food additives, which have the functions of bleaching, antisepsis and antioxidation. Excessive intake of sulfur dioxide on the human respiratory system, liver and blood toxic side effects, can lead to damage to human immunity. The most common symptoms include dyspnea, shortness of breath, asthma and cough. Lifeasible developed the detection method for the residual amount of sulfur dioxide in all kinds of food. This product is based on that Sulfur dioxide or sulfite reacts with the reagent to produce purple or purplish red products. The darker the color, the higher the content. The product is suitable for rapid detection of sulfur dioxide residues in dried fruits, dried vegetables, preserves, preserved fruits and other foods, with detection limit of 1mg / kg (based on sulfur dioxide). The reagent was sealed at 2-8°C and stored in dark for 12 months.
Product Component
Reagent A, reagent B, reagent C, centrifuge tube, colorimetric card and sample cup
Usage
1. Solid sample processing: crush or grind the sample, accurately weigh 1.0 g, add 10 mL distilled water, stand for 10-15 min, oscillate several times during the period, take the supernatant as the test solution, and filter or centrifuge if necessary;
2. liquid sample processing: light or colorless liquid sample can be directly sampled, and the dark color sample needs decolorization treatment, then take the supernatant as the test solution;
3.1Take 1 mL of the solution to be measured into the centrifuge tube, add 2 drops of reagent A, B and C in turn, and mix well;
4. After standing for 5 minutes, compare with the color card to determine the residual amount of sulfur dioxide in the sample (based on sulfur dioxide)..
Result Judgement
1. If the solution does not change color or the color is very light, there is no sulfur dioxide residue in the sample;
2. The solution is purple or purplish red, indicating that the sample contains sulfur dioxide or sulfite, and the deeper the color is, the higher the content is;
3. If the liquid sample is not diluted, it can be judged directly according to the color chart, the unit is mg / L; when calculating the result of solid sample, it needs to be multiplied by the corresponding dilution multiple (this operation method is 10 times), the unit is mg / kg.
Precautions
1. This method is a semi quantitative rapid detection method, and it is recommended to use other quantitative method to retest the unqualified samples;
2. If the reaction color is dark or light, which is inconsistent with any color of the color chart, the dilution can be increased or decreased appropriately, and the final result shall be multiplied by the corresponding multiple; for samples with higher limit value, it is recommended to increase the dilution multiple appropriately;
