E. coli O157:H7 is the most prominent serotype among STEC, however other serotypes are also potentially threatening to human health by expressing stx1 and stx2 (the Top6: O145, O121, O111, O103, O45 and O26).
The Mplex STEC Screen kit is designed for the rapid detection of potentially shiga-toxigenic Escherichia coli (STEC) in food and environmental samples by analyzing stx1, stx2 and eae in a fast and reliable probe-based real-time PCR approach.

For Lysis:
10 × Lysis plate, empty, rippable (high profile).
10 × Domed caps, for use with lysis plate, set of 12 strips.
20 × Lysis buffer S, 3 mL, store at -20℃ ± 2℃ or 4℃ ± 2℃.
20 × Proteinase K, to be mixed with Lysis buffer S, 500 µL, store at -20℃ ± 2℃.
For PCR:
Mplex STEC Screen PCR plate, with pre-dispensed master mix and PCR support grid. Store at -20℃ ± 2℃ and protect from light.
10 × Optical caps, for use with PCR plate, 12 strips.
20 × STEC positive control plasmid DNA, vial with yellow cap, 50 µL, store at -20℃ ± 2℃. Do not freeze/thaw more than 6 times.
