Description
β-carotene is a carotenoid and a source of vitamin A. Soluble in water, propylene glycol, glycerin, vegetable oil. Good light fastness.
Properties
The dilute solution of β-carotene is orange to yellow, and becomes orange when the concentration increases. No change in color when heated at 100°C for 20 minutes. Acid resistant, stable at pH 2.5-7.0, β-carotene is not affected by reducing substances such as ascorbic acid.
Applications
Used in prepared milk, frozen drinks, jams, candies, instant rice noodle products, frozen rice noodle products, baked food, cooked meat products, frozen surimi products, compound condiments, protein drinks, distilled wine, jelly, etc.
Storage
Kept out of sunlight or high temperature. Store in cool and dry places. Once opened,use it up quickly.
