Synthesis and Optimization Studies of Metabolites

Lifeasible provides services to study the synthesis of plant protection metabolites and the factors affecting their synthesis. We also provide services to help explore the effects of structural changes of metabolites on their plant protection function for optimizing them.

Some plant metabolites have a protective effect on plants. The synthesis of metabolites may be influenced by biotic and abiotic factors. Exploring the synthesis of metabolites and the factors influencing their synthesis can help perform the protective role of plants' resistance mechanisms. For example, melatonin has a protective effect on plants against biotic and abiotic stresses, and investigation of its synthesis mechanism and factors influencing its synthesis can help regulate the plant production of melatonin and thus regulate its plant protective effects. For plant-protective metabolites produced by microorganisms, exploring their synthesis mechanisms and influence factors can help scale up their production for better application in plant protection. For example, we can optimize the growth conditions of Bacillus sp. to promote the production of its antifungal substances. In addition, structural optimization of metabolites to improve plant protection functions is necessary.

Synthesis studies of plant protective metabolites

We provide research services on the mechanism of synthesis of plant-protective metabolites. We help discover metabolite synthesis pathways and synthesis-related enzymes. This service contributes to the realization of metabolite synthesis in vitro and the in-depth exploration of the factors influencing their synthesis.

Study on the factors influencing the synthesis of plant-protective metabolites

We provide initial and in-depth exploration services of factors influencing plant protective metabolite synthesis. In the initial exploration service, we help to determine the influence of biotic and abiotic factors on the amount of metabolite synthesis. In in-depth exploration services, we help determine the effects of biotic and abiotic factors on specific pathways or specific synthetic enzymes of metabolite synthesis. In-depth exploration services for factors affecting synthesis require studies on the mechanism of synthesis.

Exploring the effect of structural changes in metabolites on their plant protection activity can help develop new agricultural drugs based on metabolites. Our Approaches

Multiplex synthesis research methods

We have mastered various methods for studying the synthesis of metabolites, and we make full use of these methods to accomplish research on the synthesis of plant-protective metabolites. For example, we fully use bioinformatics techniques to mine information on enzymes related to the synthesis of microbial metabolites. We fully use transcriptome and metabolome studies to infer metabolite synthesis pathways. We also explore and identify metabolite synthesis pathways using methods such as isotope labeling and sequential introgression of synthesis-related genes.

Rigorous comparison experiments

In studying the factors influencing metabolite synthesis, we always perform rigorous comparative experiments to help discover any subtle factors that can affect metabolite synthesis. This facilitates the in-depth exploration of factors affecting metabolite synthesis.

Modification of metabolite structures using chemical and biological methods

We have mastered various chemical and biological methods to modify metabolite structures. We can flexibly use both modification methods and refer to the structures of other molecules with plant protection functions to modify the metabolites under study. This is very beneficial for the optimization of plant protection functions of metabolites.
