Water Organic Contaminants Testing

Water Organic Contaminants Testing

There are many kinds of organic pollutants in water, and their ecological effects are complex. In particular, some natural or synthetic organic pollutants that can migrate long distances and exist in the aqueous environmental media for a long time, and have severe risks to human health and the environment, have become the organic pollutants of critical concern because of their persistence, high toxicity, difficulty in degradation, bioaccumulation, and wide dissemination through various environmental media.

Water Organic Contaminants Testing

Therefore, Lifeasible has established analytical methods for organic pollutants (including semi-volatile organic pollutants and persistent organic pollutants) in water samples from various sources (industry, agriculture, domestic, natural environment, etc.), and can detect dozens of organic pollutants in large quantities.

Detection methods

  • Automated solid-phase extraction and gas chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry

Lifeasible uses this method to automate pre-treatment, reduce the use of toxic reagents, achieve high sensitivity and low detection limits, and realize the simultaneous determination of multiple organic pollutants.

  • Hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC) and mixed-mode liquid chromatography (MMLC)

Lifeasible uses HILIC and MMLC to achieve the chromatographic separation and analytical detection of some specific persistent and mobile organic contaminants (PMOC) in some organic pollutants.

  • Fluorescence detection method

This method has the advantages of good selectivity, high sensitivity, and rapid response. It has been applied by Lifeasible to detect and analyze organic pollutants in water.

  • Spectral detection method

In the detection of organic pollutants in water, Lifeasible commonly used spectral detection methods include infrared spectroscopy and spectrophotometry, we use different organic pollutants on the infrared spectrum absorption characteristics and absorbance of other organic pollutants and can simultaneously analyze the concentration of organic pollutants in water and the corresponding structure, to achieve qualitative and quantitative detection of organic pollutants in water.

Lifeasible assists clients in selecting and storing water samples for organic contamination testing and provides the most suitable testing methods according to the characteristics of the water samples. We control the testing process to ensure quality and provide scientific and accurate data for each sample.
