FRASC Assay Kit provides a rapid, simple, and sensitive means of detecting ascorbic acid in biological samples such as serum and other body fluids, tissue and cell extracts, growth media and food products. In this assay, Feᶟᶧ is reduced to Fe²ᶧ by any antioxidants present. The ferrous iron is chelated with a colorimetric probe to produce a product with a strong absorbance band which can be monitored between 545-600 nm. The addition of ascorbate oxidase to parallel samples removes any ascorbate present leaving a background value which is subtracted from the total to give ascorbate content. The assay can detect 0.2 to 20 nmol of ascorbic acid in various samples.

Ascorbic Acid Assay Kit provides a rapid, simple, and sensitive means of detecting ascorbic acid in various biological samples. Calcium Fluorometric Assay kit provides an easy and quantitative method to measure Calcium in various biological fluids. Low concentration of N,N,N’,N’-tetrakis-(2-pyridylmethyl)ethylenediamine (TPEN) is included in the assay and used to pre-treat samples to eliminate interference from other di-valent metals such as Zinc. The assay is based on the ability of our proprietary probe that binds specifically to Calcium cations generating a high fluorescence signal. The fluorescence is directly proportional to the amount of calcium, which can be quantified by measuring the generated fluorescence (Ex/Em= 500/530 nm) using a microplate reader. This assay kit provides an add-and-read, non-radioactive, and high-throughput adaptable assay suitable for Calcium detection. The assay is rapid (less than 10 min) and sensitive (Limit of Detection: <0.1 µM).

Chloride Assay Kit provides a quick, simple method for quantification of Chloride in a variety of biological samples. Blood and urine can be used directly after dilution with water. The assay is based upon the competition of Hg²ᶧ and Fe²ᶧ for TPTZ. The preferred Hg-TPTZ adduct exhibits no color. In the presence of Chloride, Hg²ᶧ forms HgCL2 freeing up TPTZ which then binds the available Fe²ᶧ giving a very intense absorbance with a λmax~ 620nm. The assay is linear in the range 20 to 120 nmol Chloride/well with detection sensitivity ~0.4 mM chloride.
